PADI PRO COURSES

TRAVEL THE WORLD WORKING

padi INSTRUCTOR

The Instructor Development Course (IDC) is made up of two parts: the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program. Become a better teacher and get really good at demonstrating skills.

If you like people, have a passion for diving and want an extraordinary life, become a PADI instructor. Teaching scuba diving allows you to share your love of the aquatic world with others while doing what you love: being in, around, and underwater.

PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors and PADI Assistant Instructors are the most sought-after scuba professionals around the world because they have completed the program that sets the standard for training scuba professionals. You earn a PADI Instructor rating through hard work and commitment, but you are rewarded with work that allows you to share incredible underwater adventures with others, transforming their lives for the better and enriching yours.

Come be part of the Oceano Sub’s Go Pro program!

Most dive professionals complete the entire IDC and move on to an Instructor Examination (IE), which is the final step toward earning a PADI Instructor certification.

Check out the requirements to do the IDC with us:

– be a certified divemaster for six months
– at least 60 registered dives and 100 dives to participate in an IE.
– Primary and Secondary Emergency First Response (CPR and First Aid) training in the last 24 months.
– Have a medical statement signed by a doctor within the last 12 months
– You also need to be an Emergency First Response instructor, but you can earn this rating during instructor training.

It will last approximately 15 days and IDC will teach you how to conduct all the basic PADI courses. You will be able to organize and present information, lead skills development sessions and control open water dives. Basically, you become a better teacher and get really good at demonstrating skills while taking care of the safety of your student divers. Key topics include:
– PADI standards and procedures for courses you can teach in water workshops
– Learning, Instruction and the PADI System
– Risk Management and Diver Safety
– The business of diving and your role as an instructor
– Marketing and sales advice for the diving area
